But outside, something bigger was happening. Families lined up. Kids danced around with snow cones and face paint, backpacks slung over their shoulders. Parents smiled—some with tears in their eyes—as they watched their children get free haircuts and head into the school year with confidence and fresh supplies.
That was our very first Back-to-School Backpack Drive.

We didn’t know then how big it would become. We just knew that if we had the tools, the space, and the heart, we could do something that mattered. Year after year, the community has continued to show up. Clients, neighbors, friends, and strangers are all coming together to support local students.
Now, as we prepare for our 6th annual event, we’re reminded that what we’re building here isn’t just a barbershop—it’s a movement of people who care.
This year, there are even more ways to be part of it. Perhaps you would like to sponsor a student and help us put another backpack in the hands of a child who needs it. Maybe your business has something valuable to offer and you’d like to join us as a vendor. Or perhaps you just want to show up and lend a hand as a volunteer.
Whatever your role, know this: you’re part of something meaningful.
If you’ve ever wondered what it feels like to watch a kid light up after a fresh cut and a new backpack, join us. It’s more than an event. It’s a community in action.
And we’d love to see you there.
